Love in Motion has teamed up with local experts to offer a progressive, interdisciplinary yoga teacher training. Trainees will learn to teach and practice yoga through the lens of functional movement, anatomy and biomechanics, all while incorporating a trauma-informed approach to understanding how to work with and accommodate vulnerable populations in open level yoga classes. This method will provide both new and seasoned practitioners with the tools to make safe and intelligent movement decisions in all the ways they move and teach throughout their lives. Yoga - the philosophy and tradition - remain at the heart of our training and students will be immersed into the lifestyle, philosophy and principles of yoga for the modern practitioner. This is a 200-hour foundational teacher training certified by Yoga Alliance.
Emphasize key principles of functional anatomy and kinesiology and instruct trainees how to integrate these principles into their teaching methodology
Yoga philosophy for the modern practitioner and mover
Integration of adaptive practices for special populations

Trainees will actively teach throughout the entire training in order to develop purposeful cueing and the opportunity to refine their voice as an instructor
Upon completion of the training, trainees will be able to teach a beginner yoga class that emphasizes movement and safety principles and builds each foundational yoga asana from the ground up
